Meditations
Case Study: Sandra was a Social Worker who was involved in a car accident. She really struggled to drive again and was having pain due to her injuries from the accident. She was recently divorced and found herself becoming more isolated. She stopped seeing her friends and ended up feeling even worse. She realised she was getting more depressed so decided to go to therapy. The initial goal for therapy was to use EMDR to help process the trauma and pain from the accident. This really helped her, but she learned to help herself by listening to the meditations which helped her to feel calm. She particularly liked the healing light meditation. Gradually, through various techniques she was able to reconnect with her friends and starting to find more meaning in her life that helped to lift her depression.
